Tears.
Tears of sadness,
Tears of silence,
Tears of sorrow,
Tears for tomorrow,
Tears for the day before,
Tears forever more.

Tears.
Tears of embitterment,
Tears without relent,
A gentle slit,
Crying tears of blood,
Idly lit,
And lingering among the mud.

One small cut is all it takes,
To cause those tears you cannot make,
So give it to me, child,
Make my blood run wild.
I'll slice you, I'll rip you,
I'll tear you in two,
I'll fight you, I'll bite you,
Your world is through.

Tears.
Running down your face.
Tears.
So easy to replace,
Just one cut or two,
And I'll be done with you,
You'll be free to cry,
That is, until your blood runs dry.
A bit of a romp for my OC vamp Tír, a song of joy he sings while butchering little children halfway through the story. One of my considerably darker works, because, until this, he's played as a sympathetic character, victim of prejudice and racism. This is the night of the full moon, where he, of course, becomes a full fledged vampire and eats the children of the man trying to kill him. The poem is used in bits and pieces throughout the entire story, the first verse taking part mostly before the one night, through the means of an overhanging narrative on himself.
